The Retro Rocker Story
Classic Rock music is everywhere! You hear and see it in movies, books, newspapers, at dances and parties, and other media. Our society loves it. It is part of our culture, and we cannot get enough.
The Retro Rockers have been honoring and emulating Classic 60's Rock for over 3 decades, covering many bands from the British Invasion to American Rock & Roll derived from the blues.
The Retro Rockers are veterans of the Rio Grande Valley music scene with a large following. We are not a show band or impersonators. We simply lay down the music like rock bands did in the 60s. When fans hear our songs, awesome memories happen.
The Retro Rockers began our musical journey with four classmates who knew each other well. We had all played in bands together or separately in junior high and high school in the 60's. In 1986, we decided to unite and play for our high school reunion in Harlingen, Texas. We realized immediately that audiences really loved the music of the 60's so we kept on going. Although some of the members have changed over the years, we are still delivering rock and roll music today, pleasing audiences and bringing back the music and the memories of the 60's.
We are the original Retro Rockers. You may see other bands called the Retro Rockers, but we coined the name. We are the "Go To" band for your RV Resort events, Reunions, Wedding Receptions, Parties, and Festivals in the Rio Grande Valley.
